The Hoogendorn ranch is one of Steamboat Flyfishers premier properties and is one of our guide’s favorites. With more than 2 miles of continuous river access the Hoogendorn ranch can provide anglers with a variety or different fishing opportunities. With fast riffles to deep holes to long slicks and sharp cut banks, the beginner and experienced angler alike will find themselves at home with any style of fly fishing. Located mid way up the Elk River, this stretch of water provides the perfect climate due to the high country cold water flowing out of the Zirkel Wilderness. With easy access to the water the Hoogendorn ranch is a favorite to all that have fished it. The Hoogendorn Ranch is typically split into two beats, Upper and Lower, providing each group with over one mile of private river access.
