Located in the middle of the Elk River Valley this property totals over 1 1/2 miles of river and is a short 20 minute drive from the shop. This is a true freestone river with cool, clear water coming from the Mount Zirkel Wilderness Area. Hay fields surround the cottonwood lined river banks, making this section a wonderful "hopper" dry fly water. Rainbow trout, 13 to 19 inches plus, populate this section. The river's bends and size make for easy casting distances; perfect for the beginning fly fisher. July through October are the best times for the Elk River. Bring a camera, the river is beautiful, especially when the fall colors are turning.
